Customization of MARC21 validation tables

  1. A method by which the user can customize the MARC21 validation tables

This feature will be updated and expanded in the coming year(s). There are two components that are currently missing:

  1. the capability to display a user-generated message in the 'Notes' area when an error message is triggered 1)
  2. the capability to validate MARC data using a future source code list 2)

at present, only a boilerplate error message will display
2)
ie a codelist that does not exist but may be added in the future–whether by LC or by the user
