The navigation bar might be the most necessary of all of the view options; located at the bottom of the form, it provides quick access to the most common navigation actions in MCU:
The most commonly used buttons are Previous Group and Next Group. Use these buttons to go to the previous or next group of matching records in the current file.
The next most important are the buttons that allow you to navigate within a group; for this type of movement we use the cluster of three small navigation buttons under the record on the right: Reset Group, Next in Group, Previous in Group.
The first button ( |< ) resets the group: this will display record 1 on the left and record 2 on the right. The second button ( > ) displays the next matching record in the group on the right pane. The third button ( < ) becomes active once the second button has been pushed, and it allows you to go back among the records on the right pane.
Note that all of these buttons will be disabled when there are only two records in the current match group.
The two navigation buttons on the left pane allow you to change which record is displayed on the left pane–we recommend not using these buttons, so that the left pane is always anchored to the source record.
All navigation actions (except for the 'Jump To' action), are available from the 'Edit' menu, and most also have an associated shortcut key:
