MARC-Bib: 264_1b (Name of producer, publisher, distributor, manufacturer)
Remember:
technically we should enter all names listed on the source, but the core instructions allow us to enter only the most prominent name provided on the source of information, or, if none are prominent, then the first (2.8.4.5 + the core instruction at 2.8.4)
when entering 'supplied' data, put each element inside its own set of square brackets
do not use abbreviations or shorten names in this element, unless they are given that way on the resource (put down what you see)
Editing
Check the 'Source' instruction to be sure that you are looking at the correct source(s) of information on the resource
If data on the resource and data as the element in the record are:
since the Source for this element is or includes '[OSoI]', accept the data if it is 'supplied' (e.g., in square brackets, or explained in a note), as long as it seems applicable; indicate that the data is 'supplied' (with square brackets or a note 2.2.4), if that has not been done
but be sure to check the resource carefully, if the data for the element is Core, or if the data is important for differentiating the resource from a similar resource
Check below, for any useful Notes
General Notes:

Editing Notes:
check that:
the most prominant publisher's name has been given, and has been entered first if more than one name has been entered
the name has not been abbreviated or shortened, but has been entered as given on the resource
something has been entered for this core element, even if it is only '[publisher not identified]'
RDA:
check that '[publisher not identified]' has been given in the correct form, exactly as given here
