MARC Report -- Version 2.29

 

2.29 reflects the changes added by LC’s MARC21 Update No. 7. 

 

2.29 also adds a quick Export-to-Text utility, fixes a problem with CJK unicode, includes new cataloging checks, adds new features to MARC Global, and makes possible the use of alphabetic tags with the program.

MARC Report -- Version 2.22

 

2.22 includes a large number of fixes, a couple of minor cataloging updates, and a couple of new things.  All users will want to download this update.

 

The main new thing in 2.22 is preliminary support for files that conform to the MARCXML schema as specified on LC's “MARC in XML” page (http://www.loc.gov/marc/marcxml.html).

MARC Report -- Version 2.21

 

2.21 includes better support for users with limited rights on the new Windows systems (XP and 2000), as well as many improvements and bug fixes.  All users should download this update.

 

Some of the new things in 2.21 are:

*     Updated tables to correspond with LC’s MARC21 Update No. 4

*     Support for entering diacritcs into a record

*     A Country-Place table that crosschecks 008/15 and 260$a

MARC Report -- Version 2.20

 

2.20 includes three new features, as well as the usual assortment of minor improvements and bug fixes. 

All users should download this update.

 

The new features are:

*     MARC Analysis--an utility that provides a quick analysis of the coding in any MARC file

*     Templates--support for adding original records to an Edit Session via Templates

*     Autorecovery--support for automatically recovering the results of a lost Edit Session

MARC Report -- Version 2.19

 

2.19 includes improvements to the cataloging checks and fixes a number of bugs in the program. 

All users should download this update.

 

2.19 also includes two new features:

*     ‘MARC Sort’--an utility to sort/dedupe any MARC file on any tag/subfield

*     ‘Title List’--a report that is automatically generated any time you start an Edit Session

MARC Report -- Version 2.18

 

Version 2.18 contains several major changes:

*     MARC Global--MARC Global, a ‘find and replace’ tool for MARC files, is a new product which runs from the Utility menu in MARC Report. All registered users can activate a 30-day free trial of MARC Global at any time. Click here to find out more about MARC Global.

*     Holdings Format-- MARC Report now supports the MARC21 Format for Holdings Data; this support is in all modules; Editing, Fixed fields, MARC Help, MARC Review, and MARC Global.

MARC Report -- Version 2.16

 

This version contains the MARC 21 Update No. 3 (announced by LC on Nov. 6, 2002) for the Bibliographic, Authorities, and Community Information formats

 

Version 2.16 also contains a new module called MARC Review (which replaces Quick Review), a Windows version of our original DOS-based software.

2.15 is a maintenance release that fixes a number of problems found in the changes added to version 2.14.

*     MARC Help--a context-sensitive pop-up window of MARC data elements and their meanings

*     Cancelled Messages--cancel any cataloging message that you do not want to see with a single mouse-click
