How do I move my Options from one computer to another?
On your old computer--Go to the MARC Report Options folder (C:\Program Files\TMQ\MARC Report\Options by default) and look for a folder with the same name as your current version (e.g., if you are running version 2.18, look for a folder called C:\Program Files\TMQ\MARC Report\Options\2.18).
These options include any tables that you have customized or created, including: local validation tables, cataloging check sets, cancelled message sets, mandatory field tables, local subject tables, saved review databases, MARC Global autoreviews, and original record templates.
Copy the files in this folder to a blank floppy disk.
On your new computer--After you have installed MARC Report … Go to the MARC Report Options folder (C:\Program Files\TMQ\MARC Report\Options by default). Copy the files on the floppy disk to this folder.
Main Options-- The main options file for MARC Report is called marcreport.ini and it is saved in your Windows directory (C:\Windows or C:\WinNT). This file contains all of the filename and checkbox settings that can be set when you open the Options from the Main Menu.
Do not copy this file from one computer to another unless you are going to:
install the program in the default
location, and
run the same version of MARC
Report on the new computer.
If you do not copy marcreport.ini to your new computer, simply you run through the options the first time you start MARC Report on the new computer.
